Your First Check When a Mahjong Kit Arrives
Check contents, tile consistency and accessories before the first game, with a clear record if you need help from the seller.
Unpack a new mahjong kit on a clean, uncluttered surface before inviting everyone over. A calm inventory check is easier than discovering an unfamiliar or missing piece midway through the first evening.
Keep the order beside the box
Compare the selected variant and written contents with what arrived. Photograph the packaging before discarding it, particularly if there is visible shipping damage. Keep accessories grouped rather than spreading small pieces around the room.
Count the playing inventory by family and keep confirmed spares separate. Check each rack, any pusher, the bag closure and the mat against the listing. A photograph of everything laid out provides a helpful record.
Look for differences that affect play
Inspect the backs and edges as well as the faces. An unusually marked back could make a piece identifiable while face down. Check whether the tiles stand comfortably in the supplied racks and whether the bag closes without forcing it.
Do not modify a questionable piece, apply cleaning chemicals or discard packaging before asking the seller for guidance. Those actions can make the original condition harder to assess.
Send a precise question
Include the order reference, product name, affected piece and clear photographs. “Three north winds arrived” is easier to investigate than “something seems missing.” Keep personal order information in a private support message.
Use the contents on your Café Mahjong product listing as the comparison point. Once the check is complete, save the inventory note in the bag and enjoy setting the table with everything accounted for.
